Job summary

San Jose Animal Hospital seeks a Veterinary Client Service Representative to join our front-desk team in San Jose, CA. This full-time role supports veterinarians, technicians, and management, handling check-in/out, appointments, payments, and customer service with a friendly, professional approach.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year veterinary or healthcare customer-service experience, excellent communication, and strong organizational skills for a fast-paced setting. Schedule: Tue–Fri; no weekends.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of veterinary medicine experience is preferred. Candidates with strong customer service experience in a fast-paced office or healthcare setting may also be considered.

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills

Veterinary Client Service Representative

San Jose Animal Hospital

Schedule: This is a full-time position with a schedule of Tuesday-Friday. No weekends!

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $19-$24/hour. The final pay will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

About You

The Veterinary Client Service Representative plays a key role in the hospital's success. While this position does not have any clinical duties, the VCSR will work together with Veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and the Practice Manager. The VCSR is the pivot around which the hospital operates and is responsible for customer service functions.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Check clients in and out while providing a welcoming, professional experience
