Job summary

San Jose Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Client Service Representative to be the welcoming front-desk presence, handling client check-in/out, scheduling, and payments. This full-time position includes Tue-Fri shifts with no weekends.

You will work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and the Practice Manager to ensure outstanding client care. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of veterinary customer-service experience, excellent communication, and strong organizational skills.

Veterinary Client Service Representative

San Jose Animal Hospital

Schedule: This is a full-time position with a schedule of Tuesday-Friday. No weekends!

Compensation is negociable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $19-$24/hour. The final pay will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

About You

The Veterinary Client Service Representative plays a key role in the hospital's success. While this position does not have any clinical duties, the VCSR will work together with Veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and the Practice Manager. The VCSR is the pivot around which the hospital operates and is responsible for customer service functions.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Check clients in and out while providing a welcoming, professional experience
  • Answer phones professionally and assist clients with questions and requests
  • Accurately schedule appointments and help maintain efficient appointment flow
  • Process payments and ensure accurate client transactions
  • Maintain a high standard of patient and client care throughout every interaction
  • Complete MIA (Missing in Action) calls and follow up with clients as needed
  • Work collaboratively with the CSR team to complete daily tasks and maintain front-desk coverage
  • Assist with prioritizing and managing front-desk responsibilities during busy periods
