Sherwood South Animal Hospital & Emergency Center is hiring an experienced Client Service Representative to join our team. We provide primary, emergency, urgent care, boarding, bathing and dentistry for dogs and cats in the greater Baton Rouge area, including east and west Baton Rouge Parish, Zachary, Denham Springs, Central, and Prairieville.

Experience & Skills Requirements

• Customer service experience and at least one year in veterinary medicine (highly preferred)
• Knowledge of veterinary triage (highly preferred)
• Excellent communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset
• Strong multitasking ability
• Availability to work rotating weekends and certain holidays, including nights and holidays
• Demonstrated empathy and a commitment to quality care for patients, team members, and clients
• Open availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Desire to grow professionally and advance within the organization

Role Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets, and assist new clients with registration; inform them of expected wait times.
• Educate clients and answer non‑medical inquiries.
• Maintain client relationships and service standards by handling phone calls, taking messages, and transferring calls as needed; monitor email and faxes regularly.
• Schedule appointments, including diagnostics; communicate with referring staff to access patient records; create appointment reminders and reschedule missed appointments.
• Maintain accurate computer records of client and patient data, verifying each patient upon check‑in.
• Keep the front desk, reception area, waiting rooms, and exam rooms neat and clean.
• Ensure financial responsibilities are met by reviewing charges, reconciling the cash drawer, and reporting accurately.
• Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
