Wells Dog and Cat Hospital in Wells, ME is seeking a Full Time Customer Service Representative to join our team. You will be the primary contact for clients, handling phone and in-person interactions with warmth and professionalism.

This role avoids weekends, late evenings, or after-hours emergencies and supports scheduling, record-keeping, payments, and administrative tasks to keep the clinic running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Professional and friendly phone etiquette.
• No weekends or late evenings.
• Ability to properly prioritize and complete tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to problem solve and adapt to multiple situations.
• HS Diploma or educational equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Computer efficiency.
• Very detail-oriented.
• Preferred: Experience with Veterinary EMR systems (Avimark, Cornerstone).
• Preferred: 1 year of CSR experience.
• Preferred: Knowledge of veterinary terminology.

Responsibilities

• Operates a multi-line telephone system; answers calls, routes messages, and pages staff as needed.
• Prioritizes appointments and client needs to maintain an efficient schedule.
• Empathizes with clients and remains calm in emotional or emergency situations.
• Accepts payments, makes change, and processes credit payments with an accurate cash drawer.
• Maintains up-to-date client and pet records and provides administrative support.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisors.
