Job summary

Cats Limited Veterinary Hospital in West Hartford, CT, is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Client Service Representative to join Rarebreed Veterinary Partners’ team. You’ll handle front-desk duties, greet clients, and assist with basic animal-care inquiries using a multi-line system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous veterinary receptionist experience preferred but not required.
• Significant experience with basic office functions in a busy office environment.
• Must be a team player and have compassion for pets and their people.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls quickly, efficiently and in a professional and friendly manner using a multi-line system.
• Warmly greet clients.
• Receive and relay client correspondence and update client financial records.
• Answer clients’ inquiries about basic animal care questions and routine procedures.
• Educate clients on over-the-counter products such as flea and tick preventions.
• Prepare client invoices for services performed.
• Receive and relay telephone, fax, and email messages accurately and promptly.
• Build rapport with clients in person and over the phone.
