VCA Urgent Care Animal Hospital – NW San Antonio in San Antonio, TX is hiring a Care Concierge to join our brand-new urgent care team. You’ll be the primary contact for clients during visits, guiding them through the process and coordinating with the medical team to ensure goals are met before checkout.

You’ll greet clients, assist veterinarians with real-time data entry, explain treatment plans, and keep owners updated on progress while supporting a fast-paced healthcare environment and animal

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in hospitality, customer service, patient care, or related industry.
• Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of listening to client objectives and advocating on their behalf.
• Action-oriented, independent, and self-starter, but also a strong team player.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Strong computer and technology skills, ability to type 60wpm.
• Capable of learning medical terminology with support and direction.
• Comfortable around animals with a basic animal handling skillset and an aptitude to develop animal restraint techniques.

We are looking for Veterinary Care Concierges to join our brand-new, VCA Urgent Care Animal Hospital in San Antonio, TX.

At VCA Animal Hospitals Urgent Care – NW San Antonio, the Care Concierge plays a vital role in accomplishing our vision!

The Care Concierge is the primary point of contact for a client during an Urgent Care visit, helping to set expectations and ensure goals are met prior to checkout. This client service-based role serves as the liaison between a client and the medical team.

The Care Concierge sets the pace of our in-hospital experience. Successful Concierges quickly establish credibility and trust with clients, can manage multiple processes of the client journey, and bring pace and enthusiasm.

The clients are appreciative that there is a way for their pets to get the urgent care they need every day. Pet owners can join the virtual waiting room via the website and wait at home until they are notified via text to head into the hospital. This minimizes the wait time at the hospital and decreases the stress for the pet. The beautiful, well-designed lobby is where “coffee house meets spa”, and provides unique spaces for pets and their owners. There are no ringing phones, slippery floors, loud noises, or crowded waiting rooms. Once checked in, all communication (from exam through checkout) is done in a private exam room with an individual Care Concierge to support the client and medical team.

Schedule

4/10’s. Full and Part-time positions available. The hospital is open 7 days a week, Monday- Friday 12pm-10pm and Weekends 10 am- 8 pm.

Weekends are required.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $18 - 20 / hour. Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials.
