Job summary

VCA Animal Hospitals Urgent Care Northwest San Antonio is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian for a hybrid role combining general practice and urgent care. You will work with a supportive team using the latest veterinary technology, including digital radiography and ultrasound, while delivering fear-free care.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from an accredited university is required.
• Licensure in good standing to practice in Texas, or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide both General Practice and Urgent Care for dogs and cats.
• Utilize fear-free techniques when possible to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver world-class veterinary medicine.

Schedule

Current hospital hours: Monday, Thursday and Friday from 12:00pm - 10:00pm & Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am - 8:00pm. Full-time Weekends required.

Cases

Our practice focuses on providing both General Practice and Urgent Care for dogs and cats. Appointments range from general wellness to ear infections, vomiting, diarrhea, toxin ingestions, eye problems, allergic reactions etc..

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, from an accredited university or equivalent
• Licensure in good standing to practice in Texas, or the ability to obtain
• A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
