Job summary

VCA Urgent Care Northwest San Antonio is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and hospital staff in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will assist with outpatient visits, treatments, surgeries, radiology, vaccinations, client education, phlebotomy, lab work, IV placement, and monitoring.

Qualifications

Veterinary Assistant – VCA Urgent Care Northwest San Antonio

VCA Urgent Care Northwest San Antonio is seeking an experienced and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. In this dynamic role, you will work alongside our veterinarians and hospital staff to provide exceptional patient care and client service in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with outpatient visits, patient treatments, surgical procedures, radiology, vaccinations, client education, phlebotomy, laboratory diagnostics, IV catheter placement, fluid administration, and patient monitoring. Team members will also provide support at the front desk, assist with client communications, and collaborate with kennel attendants as needed to ensure a seamless hospital experience.
