Job summary

National Veterinary Associates is seeking a caring team member to assist with patient care, monitor hospitalized pets, and help with routine tasks in a veterinary hospital setting. The role supports veterinarians and veterinary technicians while providing compassionate client service.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with animals, is physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs, and is ready to train in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Self-starter, able to multitask and a team player.
• Genuinely enjoys working with animals and can handle stressed/ill patients.
• Preference for 1+ years of experience, but willing to train.
• Ability to meet physical demands: lift up to 40 lbs, stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and treatment under veterinarians/techs.
• Monitor hospitalized pets and assist after surgery.
• Restrain animals during blood draws and nail trims.
• Administer medications under supervision.
• Answer phones and provide customer service; assist clients with their pets.
