Banfield Pet Hospital seeks a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, educate clients on pet health, and maintain safe, clean hospital environments. You will assist with procedures, monitor patients, and ensure accurate medical records.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and ongoing education to provide high-quality care. The position requires NAVTA-certified skills, a focus on client service, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting across weekends

Formación

• Certificate of completion from a NAVTA approved Veterinary Assistant program or equivalent
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be able to perform NAVTA approved veterinary assistant skills at a proficient level
• Must be at least 18 years old to perform radiography duties

Responsabilidades

• Support veterinarians and technicians to ensure quality care
• Educate clients on pet health and practice policies
• Obtain patient history and maintain medical charts
• Assist with procedures and monitor hospitalized or surgical patients
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of treatment areas and labs
• Mentor paraprofessionals in the hospital
