Job summary

Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program completion or equivalent
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• One year related experience with customer service preferred

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians to ensure quality patient care.
• Communicate with veterinarians, technicians and staff to maintain patient flow.
• Perform procedures and preparatory work within state regulations and assist in surgery as applicable.
• Educate clients on wellness plans, preventive care and hospital services.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized treatment areas, exam rooms and labs.
• Mentor other paraprofessionals in the hospital.
