Job summary

Evolution Veterinary Specialists (EVS) in Lakewood, CO seeks an Assistant Supervisor Technician to partner with the department Supervisor in delivering exceptional patient care and efficient operations. This role blends clinical leadership with hands-on mentorship and urgent case support.

The position emphasizes leadership development, staff scheduling, and maintaining high standards of care in a fast-paced specialty/emergency setting. 4 x 10-hour shifts with weekend/holiday rotation may apply.

Qualifications

• Current RVT License and Registration with DORA.
• Demonstrated experience in a veterinary clinical setting.
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Ability to mentor, support, and lead other team members.
• Preferred leadership or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support technicians within your assigned department.
• Provide clinical guidance, mentorship, and support to technicians and department Leads.
• Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and clinical excellence.
• Assist with complex cases and procedures within your area of expertise.
• Help ensure department protocols, workflows, and clinical standards are followed.
• Support development and competency progression of technicians.
• Oversee daily department operations when Supervisor is unavailable.
• Participate in interviewing and hiring for departmental positions.
