Job summary

Evolution Veterinary Specialists, a privately owned AAHA-accredited hospital in Lakewood, CO, seeks an Assistant Supervisor Technician to lead and mentor technicians while supporting clinical care and smooth daily operations.

You will partner with the department Supervisor and Leads to maintain high patient care standards, manage staffing, and drive process improvements. This role offers growth into a future Supervisor position in a fast-paced specialty and emergency setting.

Qualifications

• Current RVT license and DORA registration.
• Demonstrated experience in a veterinary clinical setting.
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Experience mentoring and leading other team members.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support technicians within your assigned department.
• Provide clinical guidance, mentorship, and support to technicians and department Leads.
• Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, and clinical excellence.
• Assist with complex cases and procedures within your area of expertise.
• Help ensure department protocols, workflows, and clinical standards are consistently followed.
• Support the development and competency progression of technicians.
• Serve as a clinical resource and leadership presence for the department.
• Assist the Supervisor and Leads with day-to-day clinical and operational needs.
