Burlington Veterinary Center is hiring a Veterinary Assistant / Receptionist to join our growing hospital in a dual role that blends client service with hands-on patient care.

• Previous veterinary assistant or reception experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during wellness and sick-patient appointments.
• Obtain accurate patient histories and communicate relevant information to the medical team.
• Safely and compassionately handle and restrain patients.
• Prepare exam rooms for appointments and procedures.
• Assist with basic laboratory tasks within your training and responsibilities.
• Support patient care and treatment as directed by the medical team.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked clinical areas.
• Help keep hospital workflow efficient throughout the day.
• Welcome clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and compassion.
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist clients with questions and requests.
• Schedule and coordinate appointments.
• Check clients and patients in and out of the hospital.
• Process payments accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate client and patient information.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners.
• Coordinate communication between clients, veterinarians, technicians, and other team members.
• Help create a positive, organized, and efficient client experience from arrival through checkout.

What You’ll Do

Patient Care & Veterinary Support

• Communicate effectively when transitioning between client-service and clinical responsibilities
• Jump in where needed to support teammates, patients, and clients
• Contribute to a positive, efficient, and team-focused hospital culture
