Qualifications

• Certificate of completion from a NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or the equivalent
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to perform NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program skills and duties in practice

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, efficient service ensuring client and pet comfort in the hospital
• Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians to maintain safety and quality care
• Help maintain the flow of patients and assist with procedures as needed
• Communicate with veterinarians and vet techs to coordinate care
• Educate clients about wellness plans and preventive care
• Mentor other members of the hospital team
