Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, ensuring the safety of pets, clients, and staff while delivering high‑quality care. You will help maintain smooth patient flow and assist with procedures, always prioritizing compassionate service.

You will educate clients about preventive care and wellness plans, while mentoring other team members and contributing to a positive hospital culture. NAVTA training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must complete NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Able to perform NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant skills to support clinic efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians to ensure safe and quality care.
• Assist with maintaining patient flow and performing procedures as directed.
• Educate clients about preventive care and Optimum Wellness Plans for pets.
• Mentor other members of the hospital team.
