Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, educate clients, and help maintain a safe hospital environment. The role requires NAVTA-approved training, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced clinic.

You will interact with clients, manage medical records, and assist with procedures while upholding the Five Principles of quality care and patient safety. This position offers weekend/evening hours and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• NAVTA approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for radiography duties; one year related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Live by Mars Five Principles within self and team.
• Assist veterinarians and technicians to ensure quality pet care.
• Educate clients about pet health, wellness plans and services.
• Obtain client history and maintain complete medical charts.
• Ensure safe handling of pets and sanitary hospital conditions.
• Assist with surgical procedures as applicable.
• Mentor paraprofessionals and support hospital team.
