Qualifications

• Certificate of NAVTA approved Veterinary Assistant program or equivalent.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
• Act as the extra eyes, ears and hands for the veterinarian to maximize productivity.
• Provide professional, efficient service and complete preparatory work for procedures.
• Educate clients about wellness plans and preventive care.
• Obtain relevant information and maintain medical charts.
• Ensure safety of pets, clients and staff; maintain clean treatment areas.
• Assist with surgery as applicable.
• Mentor paraprofessionals in the hospital.
