Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program completion or equivalent
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be able to perform NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program skills

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient flow and assist veterinarians and vet techs
• Communicate with the veterinarian and vet techs
• Set up or perform procedures that do not require veterinarian or vet tech assistance
• Adhere to hospital standards keeping pets safe and treatment areas clean and organized
• Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans and preventive care
• Mentor other hospital team members
