Job summary

You will educate clients about preventive health, wellness plans and hospital services, while maintaining safe, clean hospital environments and assisting with procedures.

Qualifications

• Certificate of NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent.
• Must be able to perform NAVTA-approved skills to aid practice efficiency.
• Must be at least 18 years old to perform radiography tasks.
• One year of related experience with customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians to ensure quality care.
• Educate clients on pet health and hospital services.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized treatment areas and labs.
• Assist with surgeries as applicable, and monitor hospitalized pets.
• Mentor paraprofessionals and maintain compliance with state practice acts.
