Job summary

WellHaven Pet Health is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians in procedures, exams, and patient care. You will help educate clients, maintain medical records, and assist with reception duties.

The role requires strong communication, a team mindset, and the ability to manage hospital workflows in a busy setting. Applicants should have at least 6 months in veterinary care and a NAVTA-approved program preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program preferred.
• 6+ months veterinary industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians in medical procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical charts and records.
• Educate clients about Wellness Plans and pet care guidance.
• Handle select reception duties: phone, scheduling, intake and discharge.
• Ensure hospital supplies are stocked and organized.
