Job summary

WellHaven Pet Health LLC in Bellevue, WA is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, educate clients, and uphold high standards of care in a fast-paced hospital.

You will perform technical tasks, maintain medical records, assist with surgery, dentistry, and diagnostics, and handle reception duties while prioritizing patient welfare and team collaboration. A NAVTA-approved program or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months of experience in the veterinary industry.
• Completion of an NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians in surgery, dentistry, and diagnostic procedures.
• Maintain sterile environment and accurate medical charting.
• Educate clients about wellness plans and pet care.
• Handle reception duties: calls, scheduling, client intake and discharge.
• Manage hospital supplies and inventory.
