Job summary

VCA Capital Area Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Animal Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic Veterinary Assistant to join our Overnight care team full time. We offer 3 twelve-hour shifts each week from 6 pm to 6 am, with compensation ranging from $20 to $32 per hour depending on experience, skill set, and licensure status, plus a $2 shift diff on weekdays and $3 on weekends.

  • Collecting patient histories & physical exams
  • Medication refills, and pet parent communication
  • Proficient in medical calculations
  • Venipuncture / IVC placement
  • Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
  • Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
  • Providing compassionate care for all patients

VCA Capital Area Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Animal Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our growing Overnight care team full time! Potential Schedule: Full-time, (3) 12 hour shifts 6 pm - 6am Compensation: $20.00 - $32.00 / hour dependent on experience, skill set, and licensure status. $2 shift diff for weekdays $3 shift diff for weekends
