Job summary

VCA Capital Area Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Animal Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic Veterinary Assistant to join our Overnight care team full time. We offer 3 twelve-hour shifts each week from 6 pm to 6 am, with compensation ranging from $20 to $32 per hour depending on experience, skill set, and licensure status, plus a $2 shift diff on weekdays and $3 on weekends.

• Medication refills, and pet parent communication
• Proficient in medical calculations
• Venipuncture / IVC placement
• Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
• Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
• Providing compassionate care for all patients

Potential Schedule: Full-time, (3) 12 hour shifts 6 pm - 6am Compensation: $20.00 - $32.00 / hour dependent on experience, skill set, and licensure status. $2 shift diff for weekdays $3 shift diff for weekends
