VCA Capital Area Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Animal Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic Veterinary Assistant to join our Overnight care team on a full-time basis.

• Collect patient histories and perform physical exams.
• Medication refills and client communication.
• Proficient in medical calculations.
• Venipuncture and IV placement.
• Assistance with radiology; adhere to safety.

VCA Capital Area Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Animal Hospital

is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our growing Overnight care team full time!

Potential Schedule:

Full-time, (3) 12 hour shifts 6 pm - 6am

Compensation:

$20.00 - $32.00 / hour dependent on experience, skill set, and licensure status.

$2 shift diff for weekdays

$3 shift diff for weekends

ER / ICU Veterinary Assistant Responsibilities:

• Collecting patient histories & physical exams
• Medication refills, and Pet parent communication
• Proficient in medical calculations
• Venipuncture / IVC placement
• Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
• Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
• Providing compassionate care for all patients
