Role Summary

The Veterinary Assistant Learning and Development Specialist will shape the growth of veterinary assistants through hands-on training, coaching, and mentorship, ensuring high standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver training for veterinary assistants at all experience levels.
• Mentor assistants in clinical tasks, equipment handling, and procedures, adhering to UVS protocols.
• Collaborate with management and training teams to align development initiatives.
• Create educational materials and SOPs for in-person and digital platforms.
• Support a learning environment that encourages diverse learning styles.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical knowledge with a passion for mentoring and leadership.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
• Preferred certifications: RECOVER Rescuer and Fear Free.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

• Sunday through Wednesday, 12:00pm to 10:30pm
• Wednesday through Saturday, 12:00pm to 10:30pm
