Banfield Pet Hospital seeks a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, ensure safety for pets and clients, and sustain high-quality care. You will use clinical skills daily within NAVTA guidelines and state practice acts.

Responsibilities include maintaining patient flow, coordinating with vets and techs, and setting up procedures while keeping exam rooms and labs clean and organized. You will educate clients about preventive care and wellness plans and mentor staff.

Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain the flow of patients.
• Communicate with the veterinarian and vet techs.
• Set up procedures that do not require veterinarian or vet tech assistance.
• Adhere to hospital standards for safety and cleanliness of areas.
• Educate clients about preventive care and wellness plans.
