Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians, ensuring pet safety and high-quality care within a busy hospital setting. You will educate clients on preventive care and work closely with the team to maintain smooth patient flow.

This role provides NAVTA-aligned training, opportunities for professional development, and a supportive environment that values compassion and teamwork across the hospital network.

Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program certificate or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to perform NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program skills to aid in practice efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain the flow of patients.
• Communicate with the veterinarian and vet techs.
• Carry out or set up procedures that do not require veterinarian or vet tech assistance.
• Adhere to hospital standards to keep pets safe and areas clean.
• Educate clients about preventive care and our wellness plans.
• Mentor other hospital team members.
