Qualifications

• Certificate from NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent education/experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform NAVTA program skills at a level aiding practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient flow and support veterinarians and technicians.
• Communicate with veterinarians and support staff effectively.
• Set up or carry out procedures that do not require vet or tech involvement.
• Maintain hospital standards to keep pets safe and areas clean.
• Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans and preventive care.
• Mentor other members of the hospital team.
