Qualifications

• NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to perform NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program skills.
• Strong communication and client education abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the flow of patients and assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians.
• Communicate with the veterinarian and vet techs.
• Carry out procedures or set up tasks as directed that do not require veterinarian/tech assistance.
• Adhere to hospital standards to keep pets safe and areas clean.
• Educate clients about preventive care and wellness plans.
