Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our hospital team and support veterinarians and technicians in delivering safe, high-quality care to pets. You will help maintain patient flow, assist with procedures, and educate clients on preventive care and wellness plans.

The role emphasizes NAVTA-aligned education, strong communication with the team, and a commitment to client service and pet well-being.

Qualifications

• Requires NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent education/experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform NAVTA veterinary assistant tasks as outlined by NAVTA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians to support and ensure safe patient care.
• Maintain patient flow and communicate with the veterinarian and vet techs.
• Set up procedures that do not require veterinarian or vet tech assistance; keep areas clean and organized.
• Educate clients about preventive care and wellness plans for pets.
