Qualifications

• Certificate of completion from a NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians to ensure safety of pets and clients.
• Support and facilitate smooth flow of patients and procedures.
• Communicate with veterinarians and vet techs to coordinate care.
• Educate clients about preventive care and wellness plans.
• Mentor other team members and uphold hospital standards.

Education

NAVTA-certified veterinary assistant program
