Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Non-Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our hospital team. The Vet Assistant will support veterinarians, educate clients, and help maintain smooth patient flow. You will assist with surgeries under state act, manage medical records, and uphold clean, safe work areas.

The role emphasizes mentoring teammates and delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced veterinary environment, with a strong focus on client communication and preventive care.

Qualifications

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.
• Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Optimum Wellness Plan options, medications, and additional treatments.
• Assist in maintaining comprehensive medical records with practice systems, including Banfield’s database, PetWare.
• Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and keep treatment areas clean and organized.
• Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
