Job summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians in delivering high-quality care for pets. You will educate clients on wellness plans, collect histories, and ensure a safe hospital environment.

You will assist with procedures, monitor hospitalized animals, and mentor other paraprofessionals while upholding high professional standards and company values.

Qualifications

• Certificate of NAVTA approved Veterinary Assistant program or equivalent.
• Minimum 18 years old and eligible to perform radiography.
• At least 1 year of related experience preferred with customer service.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and technicians to ensure quality pet care.
• Educate clients on wellness plans, preventive care, and services.
• Obtain client history and maintain accurate medical charts.
• Assist with surgery as applicable and monitor hospitalized patients.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized treatment areas.
• Mentor paraprofessionals and collaborate with team.
