Job summary

WellHaven Pet Health in Renton, WA is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians in delivering high-quality care for pets. You will help with surgery, dentistry, lab work, and client education, while maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring a clean, safe hospital environment.

The role requires at least 6 months in veterinary care, a high school diploma (NAVTA program preferred), and strong communication and multitasking abilities to thrive in our fast-paced

Qualifications

Must have at least 6 months of experience in the veterinary industry.
Completion of NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent (preferred).
Strong communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians and technicians with surgery, dentistry, and lab procedures.
Maintain accurate medical charts and educate clients on care.
Handle reception duties: phones, scheduling, and patient intake/discharge.
Educate clients about Wellness Plans and pet care guidance.
Ensure hospital safety and sterile environment and assist with inventory.
