Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• 1 year of experience in veterinary practice is preferred.
• Must be compassionate and sympathetic, maintaining professionalism under stress.
• Must have telephone and computer skills and be a team player.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and treatments.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, escort to exam room, record weight and vital signs.
• Assist veterinarians with appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia under supervision.
• Handle medications, take samples, and maintain medical records.
• Schedule appointments and educate clients while updating records.
• Prepare patients for procedures and monitor anesthesia as directed.
• Maintain a clean hospital environment and assist in training new staff.
