The incumbent will assist doctors, perform in-hospital treatments, and help with exam preparation, anesthetizing support, and post-procedure care while ensuring a clean, safe environment for patients and clients alike.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be compassionate and sympathetic, and maintain professionalism under stressful situations.
• Must be a team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments.
• Must have telephone and computer skills.
• Preferred to have at least 1-year experience in veterinary practice or related animal care experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, escort to exam room, record vital signs and EMR.
• Assist veterinarians with routine and emergency appointments, surgery, dentistry, euthanasia.
• Perform patient restraint, collect samples, handle medications, maintain EMR.
