Job summary

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a veterinary practice or related animal care

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, escort to exam room, obtain weight and vital signs, and record in EMR
• Assist veterinarians with routine and emergency appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia under supervision
• Perform patient restraint, obtain and process laboratory samples, handle and dispense medications
• Schedule appointments, provide client education, relay test results, and maintain client/patient records
• Help prepare patients for surgical and dental procedures and monitor anesthesia under supervision
• Maintain hospital environment and assist in training new staff
