You will support veterinarians, assist with surgeries and anesthesia, and educate clients while contributing to a compassionate, high-quality patient experience.

Qualifications

1-2 years of veterinary clinical experience required
Overnight availability required
Experience in emergency or surgical setting preferred
Anesthesia experience preferred
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
Assist with maximizing productivity and maintaining positive patient flow with each hospital function.
Assist with preparation for surgeries and procedures, including anesthesia preparation, monitoring, and recovery
Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
Maintain relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
Obtain health history from clients and maintain medical charts
Mentor and support fellow team members

Full-Time (rotating weekends required)

About You

As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll play an important role in pets' lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to surgery assistance, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Experience & Skills Requirements:

1-2 years of veterinary clinical experience required
Experience in an emergency or surgical setting preferred
Must have overnight availability
Experience with anesthesia preferred
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Role Responsibilities

Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $17-$19/ hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Overnight shift differential offered!
