Overview

WVRC Waukesha is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to support our Emergency department!

The Veterinary Technician Assistant provides key support to the technician and veterinarian staff. Must be friendly, professional, and courteous, and capable of handling several tasks at once with frequent interruptions. Must be able to take direction from multiple staff members while adhering to training standards.

Schedule and Compensation

• Fourth shift
• Four 9‑10 hour shifts each week, including every other weekend
• 4 holidays per year
• Pay starts at $16 an hour and may be higher depending on experience
• Applicable shift differential will apply; 4pm‑12a $3.00/hr, 12a‑8a $5.00/hr

Essential Functions

Multi‑tasking and attention to detail skills are required. Must have the ability to stand for the majority of the work period and enough stamina to work past the regularly scheduled shifts, if needed.
