This position is a precursor to the Veterinary Technician level. The primary responsibility of the Veterinary Assistant is to support and assist the veterinary medical staff. Provides exemplary patient and client service with a keen sensitivity to the emotional bond between owners and their pets. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, basic record keeping, animal restraint and husbandry, administering oral medications, stocking medical supplies, and maintaining safety and cleanliness of the workspace.
You have a strong desire to learn and apply knowledge and skills to daily work. You can communicate effectively both written and verbally. You are reliable and follow through on all tasks/projects. You are able to work afternoons, nights, and weekends.
