Join to apply for the Veterinary Assistant ER role at BluePearl Pet Hospital.

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Skokie, IL is seeking a Veterinary Assistant for our ER department. This is a Part-Time position with weekend evening shifts (Sat/Sun).

Pay Range: $20.30 - $27.80/hour, dependent on licensing, experience, and competency assessment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care according to hospital standards and values.
• Monitor medication effects and therapeutic responses.
• Accurately record vital signs such as heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and mucous membranes.
• Utilize hospital software like Cornerstone and Instinct.
• Stay current with R.E.C.O.V.E.R. CPR guidelines.
• Assist veterinarians and CVTs during exams and treatments.
• Feed, bathe, and enrich patients.
• Maintain hospital cleanliness and organization.
• Assist with diagnostics, exams, and procedures, including advanced procedures such as endoscopy and thoracocentesis.
• Monitor and care for patients post-procedure.
