Wolf Run Veterinary Clinic in Muncy, PA seeks an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our fast-paced, team-first hospital. You will be in the exam room, assist our surgery team, run diagnostics, and support daily patient care with empathy and clear client communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of veterinary assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient exam room workflow and outstanding client communication, including check-ins, treatment plan review, and discharge instructions.
• Assist surgery team with patient prep, setup, monitoring, and recovery.
• Perform in-house diagnostics including microscopy and laboratory sample collection and processing.
• Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity.
• Collaborate with team to support veterinarian orders during outpatient visits, ensuring high-quality care.
• Jump in wherever needed in a team-first environment.

Wolf Run Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

In this role, you will:

• Ensure efficient exam room workflow and outstanding client communication, including check-ins, treatment plan review, and discharge instructions
• Assist our surgery team with patient prep, setup, monitoring, and recovery
• Perform in-house diagnostics including microscopy and laboratory sample collection and processing
• Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity
• Collaborate with your team to support the veterinarian's orders during outpatient visits, ensuring the highest level of patient care
• Jump in wherever you're needed — this is a team-first environment and we value versatility as much as technical skill

Schedule and compensation:

• Compensation: $15 – $17 per hour, for each hour worked
• Schedule: This is a full-time position, with a 4 x 10 schedule and availability needed Monday–Friday with rotating weekend shifts every 4–5 weeks.

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

• 2+ years of veterinary assistant experience required
• Proficiency in the following skills:
  • Client education and communication
  • Safe, low-stress patient handling and restraint
  • Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring
  • Oral medication administration and SQ Injections
  • Venipuncture skills preferred
