Job summary

Wrightstown Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Kennel Assistant to join our team. The Kennel team maintains a clean and safe environment for patients, clients, and staff, focusing on janitorial duties and stock management of kennels and treatment areas.

This role is ideal for self-driven, detail-oriented individuals, including those without prior veterinary experience, who are committed to a team-focused environment. Part-time with a flexible schedule and Monday/Friday availability.

Qualifications

  • 0-1 years of experience as a veterinary kennel assistant / kennel technician preferred.
  • Passion for animal care and patient wellbeing.
  • Confidence with dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments.
  • Ability to stay organized and maintain a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform janitorial and housekeeping duties to keep kennels and treatment areas sanitized.
  • Ensure kennels, common areas and treatment rooms are stocked with supplies.

Job description

Wrightstown Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Kennel Assistant to join our team! Our Kennel team is dedicated to maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, clients, and staff.

In this role, you will focus on janitorial and housekeeping duties, ensuring kennels, commonspacesand treatment areas are sanitized and well stocked with supplies. This position is ideal for those who are self-driven, detail-oriented, enjoy cleaning and organization, and are committed to contributing to a team-focused environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who may not have prior veterinary experience but are excited about the industry. Candidates must be reliable, friendly, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule and compensation
  • Compensation: $15-$17 per hour, for each hour worked
  • This is a part-time position, with a flexibleschedule and availability needed Mondays and Fridays with occasional coverage for vacations.

  • 0-1 years of experience as a veterinary kennel assistant / kennel technician preferred
    • Will consider related experience within animal care such as boarding / doggy daycare attendant, FFA or 4H background
  • A genuine passion for animal care and patient wellbeing
  • Confidence working with dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments
    • Ability to safely handle, restrain, walk, and monitor animals under supervision
    • Strong awareness of animal behavior and willingness to learn patient safety and handling techniques
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
  • Ability to stay organized and maintain a clean, safe environment

  • Physical ability to meet the demands of a hands-on animal care role
