Role: Veterinary Assistant
Status: Full-time (approx. 36 per week)
Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
Schedule: Flexible Monday through Friday schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays!

What Our Veterinary Assistants Do

  • Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments
  • Safely restrain patients using appropriate handling techniques
  • Obtain patient histories and maintain accurate treatment records
  • Administer and dispense medications as directed
  • Prepare patients and equipment for examinations and procedures
  • Clip and bathe pets as needed
  • Educate clients on basic preventative care and treatment recommendations
  • Assist with cleaning, maintenance, and hospital organization
  • Support the medical team in providing exceptional patient care

What Our Veterinary Assistants Bring

  • Previous veterinary assistant experience preferred
  • Knowledge of patient restraint and handling techniques
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with vaccinations and preventative care protocols
  • Experience administering medications and maintaining treatment records
  • Knowledge of sterilization techniques
  • Willingness to assist with cleaning and general hospital maintenance
  • Familiarity with Cornerstone software is a plus
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Commitment to compassionate patient care and excellent client service
