New England Veterinary Clinic & Pet Resort is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our busy hospital. You will work closely with veterinarians and technicians to support patient care, take vitals, assist during exams, and help maintain a clean, organized clinical area.

We offer four-day workweeks with rotating Sunday shifts, competitive hourly pay ($18–$21), generous benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401(k) matching and tuition support, and ongoing professional development

What Our Veterinary Assistants Do

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient care and procedures
• Support patient intake by gathering medical histories and taking vital signs
• Prepare patients and exam rooms for appointments
• Safely and compassionately handle and restrain animals of different sizes and temperaments
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed by a veterinarian
• Prepare treatment areas, instruments, and supplies for procedures
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly sterilized clinical spaces
• Help explain treatment plans, medications, and follow-up instructions to clients
• Maintain accurate patient records and assist with basic clerical responsibilities
• Support the hospital team in keeping appointments and daily workflows running smoothly
• Help ensure every patient feels safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout their visit
