Job summary

Farmington Veterinary Clinic, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, seeks a Veterinary Assistant to join our busy two-doctor practice in Farmington, Arkansas. This part-time role offers 3-4 days per week, rotating Saturdays, and opportunities to grow through ThriveU and other training.

You will assist veterinarians and technicians with patient exams, treatments, diagnostics, and nursing care, while maintaining organized exam rooms and delivering an outstanding client experience.

Qualifications

• Recent veterinary experience including knowledge of basic procedures and terminology highly preferred.
• Recent experience working with companion animals required.
• Be punctual and considerate of those around you.
• Communicate effectively and with confidence.
• Be resilient and ready to tackle challenges head on.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient exams, treatments, diagnostics, surgery prep, and nursing care.
• Safely restrain and handle patients, ensuring comfort, safety, and well-being.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms, treatment areas, labs, and surgical suites.
• Support daily hospital operations, patient flow, inventory management, and administrative tasks.
• Work with the hospital team to deliver compassionate, high-quality veterinary care and client experience.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $15-18/hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
