Job summary

Farmington Veterinary Clinic, a Thrive Pet Healthcare partner, is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our busy two-doctor practice in Farmington, Arkansas. This part-time role is 3-4 days per week with rotating Saturdays, offering hourly pay from $15 to $18 and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will assist veterinarians and technicians with exams, treatments, diagnostics, surgery prep, and nursing care; safely restrain patients; maintain clean, stocked spaces; and support hospital

Qualifications

• Recent veterinary experience including knowledge of basic veterinary procedures and terminology HIGHLY preferred.
• Recent experience working with companion animals REQUIRED.
• Be punctual and considerate of those around them.
• Communicate effectively and with confidence.
• Be resilient and ready to tackle any challenges head on.
• Have a sincere desire to help animals and their people.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient exams, treatments, diagnostics, surgery preparation, and nursing care.
• Safely restrain and handle patients while ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked exam rooms, treatment areas, laboratories, and surgical suites.
• Support daily hospital operations, patient flow, inventory management, and administrative tasks.
• Work collaboratively with the hospital team to deliver compassionate, high-quality veterinary care and an outstanding client experience.

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $15-18/hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
