Job summary

Concord Chapel Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team in Columbus, OH. The role includes restraining pets, triage, sample collection, lab analysis, radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring within a supportive clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Veterinary Assistant with minimum 1 year experience preferred.
• Compassionate, calm, team player, multi-tasker and strong communicator.
• Must be able to properly restrain pets.
• Proficiency in sample collection, medical histories, lab tests, radiographs; anesthesia monitoring bonus.
• Self-starter with desire to advance knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Pet restraint and triage of incoming patients.

• Monday & Wednesday: 8am - 8pm
• Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday: 8am - 7pm
• Saturday: 8am - 3pm
• We are closed on Sundays

Job Description

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Pet restraint, triage incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications

We’re looking for:

• An experienced Veterinary Assistant with a minimum of 1-year experience preferred.

• Must be able to properly restrain pets.
• Proficient in sample collection, obtaining medical histories, processing laboratory tests and radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring are a bonus!

Additional Information

Pay Range: $16+/hr
