Concord Chapel Animal Hospital in Ohio is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our family-like team. You will restrain pets, assist with triage, collect samples, and help with imaging and anesthesia under supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of veterinary assistant experience preferred.
• Compassionate, calm, team player with strong communication.
• Proficient in sample collection, obtaining medical histories, processing laboratory tests and radiographs, anesthesia monitoring is a bonus.
• Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance knowledge and skillset.

Responsibilities

• Restrain pets as needed and triage incoming patients.
• Collect and analyze lab samples; perform radiographs.
• Manage medical and hospitalized cases with varying stability and medications.
• Communicate treatment plans clearly with clients.
• Assist in surgical preparation and anesthesia management.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

Pet restraint, triage incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.

Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications

• An experienced Veterinary Assistantwith a minimum of 1-year experience preferred.

Pay Range: $16/hr
