Devonshire Vet Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This full-time position offers a chance to work closely with veterinarians and technicians in a busy hospital setting where patient care and teamwork are prioritized.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians during examinations and treatments.
• Safely handle and restrain patients with care and compassion.
• Prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment.
• Assist with patient treatments and nursing care.
• Collect laboratory samples and assist with diagnostics.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed.
• Support surgical and dental procedures as needed.
• Monitor hospitalized patients and report changes to the medical team.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Educate clients on medications and preventive care.

Role: Veterinary Assistant Status: Full-time Salary: Negotiable and based on experience Schedule: Monday through Friday. Rotating Saturday shifts. 7 am - 4 pm or 8 am - 5 pm

What You'll Do

• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations and treatments
